Normans vs Vikings in Clash of Warlords (4pt)

Sean's first game of Saga!  Sean borrows Jon's Vikings for this round.  We decide to play Clash of Warlords just to show Sean the mechanics.

Vikings go first

Bondi move towards the house

The whole Battle Board is devoted to this one unit of knights riding down the bondi.  Terrified + Stamping + Crush.  So many banners rolled for extra dice!  Sorry Sean :(

Knights and Steveaux move out

Sean goes Viking mode and charges

But the Normans hold fast

And proceed to ride them down.

The Viking stragglers head towards the cottage

They wipe out a unit of knights but are severely weakened

All of the knights head towards the building!  

Sean holed up

Steveaux has no choice but to charge

Both warlords are killed, ending up in a draw!

After playing, I re-read the building rules and decided Sean might've won.  The defender in a building gets to choose which units are targeted in melee so he could've ensured his warlord survived that round.  On the other hand, by choosing to defend with his warlord rather than his Hirdmen he got 1 extra attack die.  One less hit and Steveaux would've survived another round.
