Tom and I got a game of Saga in one night recently. He brought his Vikings, and ran them in 1 big unit of 8 Hearthguard, and 2 units of 12 Bondi plus a 12 strong levy archer unit. My Normans were my usual configuration of 2x4 mounted Hearthguard, 1x8 mounted hearthguard, 8 crossbows, and 12 archers. The mission was Clash of Warlords.

Focus on... Strathclyde off-table units
The latest supplement for Saga, the Raven's Shadow from Gripping Beast, has four very different lists of factions to play. One of these is the Strathclyde Welsh. Though one of their key differences is the fact they are basically a mounted mid-level attack force, the main tactical difference is their ability to provide off-table support using some of their cavalry units. This article is going to take a look at this the combination of cavalry and off-table units and tie it in with the Battleboard to see where the strengths and any weaknesses of this force are.

My Medieval Village
Over Christmas, my buddy Luke got me 2 more carts to join my Norman horse cart as well as a large well. They were just the pieces I needed to both finish off a nice medieval village AND offer enough baggage for the escort mission in Saga!
I have no idea what manufacturer the carts or well are, so if you know, sound off on our forum! Otherwise, I'll let the pictures do the talking!
