Special Announcement….

With great pleasure we would like to announce the launch of a WWPD Saga Painting Competition. Yes! I hear you say.

We would like you to paint a Warlord base and enter it to the site for judging by your WWPD peer group. You can choose to model a single figure, scene or diorama using any kind of basing options you can think of. So, get those imaginations into gear and see what you can come up with.

The other night I went out to Ron Bingham's to play a game of Saga at his place.  Joining us were also J.D. and Malcolm.  These are all capital gents, who by the cruelty of Geography, I don't get the pleasure of gaming with all that often.  I was happy to roll dice with them!

Joe Moore and I played a game of SAGA  Clash of Warlords to give the Irish another run.  It was an epic game and Joe composed  The Song of Ri Ghiaerhithghe.  

Focus On ... Irish Champions

The latest Saga supplement, The Raven's Shadow, offers a number of new Factions for you to play. One of those is the Irish. These are a list that offer the ability to field Champions. These being special Hearthguard in units of just one model. They are a kind of mini-Warlord, with some of the same abilities. Importantly they have a tactical use, generate saga dice and have their own unique saga abilities. All of these should appeal to the gamer who likes to make a decisive strike with a capable unit. If you like the abilities of the Welsh skirmish army with a little of the heroics of the Vikings mixed in, these could be the unit and the Faction for you......
